HT Direct Training Services was set up in 2000 by Emily Hewitson-Townley after having been a First Aider and Training First Aid as well as teaching Catering in Leeds. She has some 50 years of experience in First Aid and over 40 years of teaching it.
She was given the opportunity to achieve her Advanced Certificate in Health and Safety and Food Hygiene (now Level 4 awards). So as she had a teaching certificate, she could teach these 2 subjects with experience in Catering and Working in Factory staff restaurants, school kitchens etc. She could apply both her Food Safety and Health and Safety Teaching to any situation she was asked to teach in. This included teaching Manual Handling, COSHH and Risk Assessment. Emily now has a team of tutors who work alongside her as and when necessary to carry out training for the company.

We are also involved in providing First Aid for Events and have a regular duty at The Shay Stadium for the Spectators at both Football and Rugby and we have a team dedicated to this.
Our supplies side to the business started after candidates on courses asked about purchasing First Aid Items. As well as supplying individuals we supply Bradford City Football Club with items required by the Physio Dave Hanson and also Dan the new Physio at FC Halifax Town. We also supply tape etc to Amateur Clubs.
Furthermore we have been registered with the HSE for First Aid in the Workplace since 2000 (Certificate No: 72/00) this also regulates us to issue certificates for FAW and Emergency First Aid in the Workplace.
